The Pranamaya Kosha: Up Your Vital Energy

by Mandakini Machiraju | Oct 25, 2017 | Diet & Lifestyle, Healthy Living

The Pranamaya Kosha is the layer of the aura that helps you feel vital, energetic, and connected to all beings. One of five koshas, this kosha is also the space where you may connect to your ancestors, deceased loved ones, and all life.

When this layer of the aura is healthy you can receive and witness deep joy that permeates the very air you breathe.

What Is Prana?

Prana is the life force or essence of life that exists in all things. When I first learned about Prana, everything felt magical to me.  I just saw the world in a whole new way.

I have always felt that every animate or inanimate thing was somehow alive or full of some essence that connected all things together like an invisible breath of love. That is what Prana is to me.

It is the essence of life in all things. It is also the essence that makes all things live. When you begin tapping into this essence you feel walls of separation fall. You begin to subtly understand that you are one with all and thus, you are never alone, never poor, never defeated.

If you want to improve your health, your memory, your focus, or your joy you can increase Prana. There are so many ways to do this…
